Wood White Leptidea sinapis (Linn.)

Widespread but very localized. Mainly in S England. In Ireland restricted to the Burren.

Grassy woodland rides; coastal undercliffs in S England. Ireland on limestone pavement.

Legumes, eg Meadow Vetchling, Bitter-vetch, Bird's-foot Tefoils.

Usually late May to late July. Occasional second emergence in August.
