Silver-studded Blue Plebejus argus (Linn.)

Very localized. Restricted to parts of S, C & E England and S & N Wales.

Mainly lowland heath, calcareous grassland and sand dunes.

Wide variety of foodplants, eg heathers, heaths, Gorse, vetches, trefoils and Rock-rose.

Usually July and August on heathlands and June to mid-July on calcareous sites.
