Pearl-bordered Fritillary Boloria euphrosyne (Linn.)

Widely scattered: Scotland, Wales and S England. Restricted in Ireland to the Burren.

Open woodland, scrubby grassland, wood-pasture and limestone pavement.

Mainly Common Dog-violet and Marsh Violet.

Usually late April to early June. Mid-May to late June in the north.
