High Brown Fritillary Argynnis adippe ([Denis & Schiffermüller])

Very localised. Restricted to parts of SW and NW England and S & C Wales.

Grassland with Bracken and limestone pavement or outcrops

Mainly Common Dog-violet and Hairy Violet.

Usually mid-June to early August. Slightly later in the NW.
