Heath Fritillary Melitaea athalia (Rottemburg)

Restricted to very small parts of SW and SE England.

Sheltered heathland valleys in SW and coppiced woodland in SE.

Mainly Common Cow-wheat, Ribwort Plantain and Germander Speedwell.

Usually mid-June to early August. Late May to early July in Cornwall.
