Brown Argus Aricia agestis ([Denis & Schiffermüller])

Widespread over most of the SW half of England and S & N Wales.

Grasslands, woodland rides, sand dunes and heathland.

Mainly Common Rock-rose, Dove's-foot Cranes-bill and Common Stork's-bill.

Usually early May to late June and mid-July to mid-September. June and July in the north.
